MAPPHOUSE PRESS VOL 06 | At the precipice of something new (help me shape it)

IN THIS ISSUE:

  • From Kim’s Desk → End of year wrap up

Hey Reader!
First, thank you. Whether you've been here since the pottery days or joined more recently, your presence in this community matters. You've stayed through a major pivot, and I don't take that lightly.

2025 has been a year of major transition for me. Professionally, it meant officially closing KT Mountain Studio to open this next chapter of life. And personally? It's been about coming home to my calling as an educator.

I feel like I'm standing at the precipice of something. Ready to step fully into this work, take up space, and serve the community around me in a bigger way.

Here's what happened in 2025:

  • Spent 6+ months clarifying what Mapphouse even was
  • Separated design work (now a sub-brand serving local, and beyond, businesses: Mapphouse Studio) from education consulting.
  • Developed The Mapphouse Model: my framework for reimagining online education through pedagogy, leadership, and business systems
  • Built out key service offerings: Educational Audits, Custom Course Design, Strategy Sessions
  • Created a clear 2026+ vision and reverse-engineered my way there
  • Did a lot of writing, scribbling, erasing, and starting over in the early morning hours before Jo woke up

In 2026, I'll be taking on my first official clients. If you want to learn more how I could help you, I'd love to talk!

Before I go: I need your help shaping what comes next. I've created a quick survey (under 2 minutes, I promise) to understand who's still here and what you actually need and want from this community.

Your answers will directly inform what I create in 2026.

Don't worry, Jolene will be back in two weeks with her holiday shenanigans and a proper year-end wrap from the toddler perspective.

Thank you for being here and your support through this uncharted journey we call life and business ownership.

With gratitude,
Kim

MAPPHOUSE

Each issue includes a personal letter from me, a grounding reflection on life and work, and a practical takeaway rooted in the three core pillars of Mapphouse: leadership, educational design, and business systems. You’ll also get a lighthearted note from my daughter (your unofficial correspondent) and a handful of actionable resources, books, tools, ideas, and small discoveries you can put to use right away. These emails are intentionally long, crafted to offer depth in a world that moves too fast, and designed to bring a bit of meaning, clarity, and joy to your Sunday.
