Welcome to Reverence. Start here.

August 13, 2026 - The air is cooler today, and Cleaner. Smoke from recent wildfires has shifted, giving us momentary relief. The dry leaves and grasses are prominent on daily walks and raspberries are at the end of their season.

Welcome Friend,

I am so glad you are here.

That we have found each other amongst the crowded spaces that inhabit our lives. I am honored that you have made time for me, to sit and breathe and welcome this day together.

Tell me, what moment of joy have you paused for recently?

Mine is simple. The laughter of my two year old daughter. Unbridled and stemming from something so inconsequential - what if we could all find joy this way?

What does it take for us to find joy in life's journey? Amidst the ups and downs, the failures and hardships that we are all bound to encounter. But how do we move forward? How do we still recognize the beauty, the grace & grit, the perseverance and yes... the moments of unbridled joy.

This is your invitation to sit with me. With your self. To welcome a neighbor in for fresh baked bread and relish in each other's stories and aspirations.

It is my hope, no my war cry, that you find these moments. However inconsequential they seem, and pause in them. The light first thing in the morning. A text from a loved one. And if so inspired, share this moment with me. Because what greater joy is there, than collective joy?

This is not your typical business newsletter.

But instead, a story of place. Recognizing that life's journey is but a series of small moments stitched together, and if noticed and cherished can bring us to awe and reverence of the world around us.

LET US HAVE REVERENCE FOR LIFE.
BOTH OURS AND THE ONES THAT SURROUND US.
LET US BE IN AWE OF THE PLACE WE HAVE PLANTED OUR FEET.
AND MAY WE SEEK IN THE JOY THAT LAYS IN FRONT OF US.

Nourishment

Magnesium. Done. I have always struggled with sleep, and the early years of Jo's life was no different. Magnesium has been a game changer for me and getting quality sleep.

Reading

I know that this maybe a shock... but I have never read Aldo Leopold's Sand County Almanac. As you can imagine, I am loving it.

Again, maybe I am late to the game. But I recently learned of Mark Maggori. Check out his featured painting on Modern Huntsman

REVERENCE

Reverence is a personal letter from Kim the founder of Mapphouse, shared with you the 1st and 15th of the month. Not your typical business newsletter. Part pen pal. Part poetry. Most definitely grammar your 8th grader English teacher would cringe at. But real moments from my journal to your inbox.
